Kittens for February 2024:
Cherry - Reserved
Cherry has been reserved with a $100 deposit, leaving a balance of $900 due upon pickup. She is a seal point female Ragamuffin kitten. She was born to Samantha and Tokyo on December 25, 2023, and will be ready to leave soon. She will be needing a forever home.
Cherry went to the vet on 2/19/24 and was prescribed an antiprotozoal medicine. After she is finished taking her medicine, she will be ready to leave. (Expected pick up date on or after 2/26/24.) She is responding very well to her medicine and so I decided to go ahead and list her on my website, as she will be needing a home.
Even though she is 8 weeks old as of the day I am typing this (2/22), the doctor said that she is as developed as a 6 week old. Cherry was one of the runts of the litter. She has a brother (Foofie) who was also a runt.
To ensure you are very serious about adopting, a deposit of $100 is required to reserve.
Total Overall Price $1000
Mei is a seal point female Ragamuffin kitten. She was born to Samantha and Tokyo on December 25, 2023, and will be ready to leave soon. She will be needing a forever home.
Mei went to the vet on 2/19/24 and was prescribed an antiprotozoal medicine. After she finishes taking her medicine, she will be ready to leave. (Expected pick up date to be on or after 2/26/24.) I decided to go ahead and list her on my website, because she will eventually be needing a home.
Update 2/24/24: Mei still has diarrhea that is the consistency of oatmeal, and the color of nutritional yeast, ...idk, that's all I can think of that is that color. Today, I separated them into 3 different cages to see which one is still making diarrhea in the litter box. Foofie had solid brown firm poop. Mei made a mess with runny poop, but I noticed that half of Mei's dry food was gone, compared to the others. I think Mei is overeating. I am going to try and limit her food intake to see if it makes a difference in her poop. She may need to stay longer.
As for Cherry, she has not pooped yet, but is really being playful and entertaining herself within her own cage.
Also, tonight, I offered 1 tablespoon of canned food to all 3. It was hard to say no to Mei,,as she loves to eat, and was crying for her share. So I gave her some, too. Both Mei and Foofie finished theirs. Cherry did not want hers. She is too busy playing. After eating Mei is sleeping in a pose as if she does not feel good. I wish I would not have given her anymore food.
(Both the wet and dry food that the kittens are eating is called Royal Canin Babycat.)
Update 2/25/24 - After 5 doses of Albon over the past week, and still no change in Mei's diarrhea, I am starting to think that I may take her to a different vet to get a second opinion. Woke up at 2am to find LOADS of severe diarrhea from Mei. Removed all food, bathed her (because it was all over her). Notice certain sticky blotches of oatmeal style poop stuck to her tail, and was very sticky to remove. Had to comb it out, as soap and water would not remove it. After bath, just offered water and a heating pad with fresh clean padding down. I removed the feline pine litter (that I had just began to use the day before). I'm scared she may have ingested some because her diarrhea laying inside the cage is just the same color and has a tinge of oiliness. Yikes. Considering all possibilities. The amount of diarrhea was A LOT. I even considered that maybe whatever was bloating her belly finally got released and came out of her, and was a good thing. (Better out than in). But at this point I am just brainstorming everything to the point of paranoia. Frantically trying to solve this mystery.
-Btw, her sister, Cherry finally pooped at 2am as I was typing this beside her cage, and her poop was PERFECT!! Yay. So her and Foofie are back together, out of their cages, and placed inside their play area, again. They are cured, and good to go.
Only Mei remains inside her cage, isolated from the others. She is sleeping now, and her eyes are like this \ / ...as if she doesn't feel good. Next thing I plan to do is remove all food from Mei and just place her on kitten milk replacer, only. I will try that for a day. Then add in small amts of wet food, slowly. I may consider switching her to a rabbit only or beef only diet. Maybe she does not tolerate poultry. ????
IF YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE, FEEDBACK OR TIPS, I HAVE PLACED A COMMENT SECTION BELOW. ANY ADVICE OR IDEAS OR EXPERIENCE YOU MAY HAVE WITH KITTEN DIARRHEA WHICH IS UNRESPONSIVE TO TREATMENT, IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Foofie is a seal point male Ragamuffin kitten. He was born to Samantha and Tokyo on December 25, 2023, and will be ready to leave soon. He will be needing a forever home.
Foofie went to the vet on 2/19/24 and was prescribed an antiprotozoal medicine. After he finishes taking his medicine, he will be ready to leave. (Expected pick up date on or after 2/26/24.) He is responding very well to his medicine as of the day I am typing this (2/22). He still had diarrhea this morning, but I noticed he is running and wrestling and obviously feeling 100% better since being on the medicine. He was prescribed to take it for 7 days. The doctor said that he is as developed as a 6 week old. He was also a runt like his sister, Cherry. He has never been listed on my website until now.
Update 2/24/24: Foofie has solid brown poop, now.
To ensure you are very serious about adopting, a deposit of $100 is required to reserve. Or if it is after 2/26/24, you can just come over and buy him if you like him.
